Why Lemoned.co.uk exists

Car checks shouldn’t cost £20.

We want ordinary used-car buyers to get the information that matters, at a price that feels like a no-brainer—and before they get lemoned.

Transparent pricing

One 99p report. The aim is to cover data and service costs without subscriptions or theatrical discounts.

Plain-English data

A long list of advisories is not useful until someone explains what repeats, what is serious and what to inspect.

Profits to charity

After the costs of running the service, qualifying profits are intended to be donated to carefully chosen charities.

Trust before claims

We will only name sources, licences and partnerships once they are genuinely approved and integrated.

What “not for profit” means here

It does not mean the whole 99p is a donation. Data, payment, hosting and operating costs come first. The intended commitment is to donate qualifying profit left after those costs, with transparent reporting as the product grows.
