We request vehicle and licensing details from DVLA and MOT history from DVSA. Each report names the live sources, shows when they were checked and labels missing or unavailable information. Transmission and MPG for selected vehicles come from VCA or manufacturer catalogue data; dated source links and limitations are in Terms & data sources. Neither agency endorses Lemoned.

No. Where shown, transmission and MPG are based on dated UK catalogue entries sharing the returned make, model, manufacture year, engine size, fuel and CO₂ figure. This does not confirm the fitted gearbox, exact version, original market or emissions test basis. Coverage is currently limited to selected 2009 and 2011 Toyota iQ, 2014 Vauxhall Astra and pre-July 2015 Toyota Auris Hybrid configurations. We do not assume all hybrids have the same gearbox or MPG. A value is shown only when the compatible catalogue entries all supply the same value; conflicting or missing identifying data prevents a match. MPG uses UK gallons and official combined laboratory figures, not a real-world prediction. Check the actual specification with the manufacturer. MOT shows the recorded certificate status or first-test due position. Last MOT shows the latest returned test result: Pass with an amber warning icon means advisories or minor defects were recorded; Clean pass means none were recorded in the supplied details. Mileage shows No issues only when comparable readings were checked, no decrease was flagged and there are no gaps of more than two years between returned readings. Grey symbols mean the result is unavailable or not assessed. Select a check to read its details. These are separate record checks, not an overall safety rating.

Use the registration box at the top of the report, then press the arrow or Enter. Recent registrations appear when the field is focused; choosing one fills it but does not submit a check. For a VIN search, use the main vehicle-search page. Recheck at the bottom opens a search for the current car.

It helps you prepare before viewing, inspect individual areas at the viewing and resolve questions before buying. Questions use Yes, No and Unsure, with N/A where appropriate. Wear and condition checks use Poor, OK and Good; N/A is only offered where the part may not be fitted. Open a row for guidance and notes. Leave anything you have not checked unanswered; Unsure flags a follow-up, while N/A means genuinely not applicable. The checks adapt to the available report and fuel type. Your answers shape the summary: an advert or document mismatch is a red flag with specific next steps, not a prompt to negotiate. Unconfirmed answers and unfinished checks stay separate. Selected tyre/brake replacements have rough allowances; other faults need diagnosis and quotes. Report findings remain separate from your answers. It is not a mechanical inspection, approval to buy, market valuation or safety score.

No. They are indicative UK guide prices, not quotes for the specific vehicle or maximum prices. Marking something Poor does not diagnose a fault. For tyre or brake replacements, confirm what needs replacing and select the quantity or axle before an allowance is added. Discs and pads on the same axle are counted once. Unpriced concerns remain separate, not £0; MOT notes are not automatically priced. Get written quotes and resolve safety concerns before negotiating or test-driving. A lower price does not make an unsafe car safe.

Answers, notes, replacement quantities/axles and the current stage stay in this browser for this registration. They expire after 30 days without changes and are removed when the checklist is reopened. Reset clears that checklist. They do not sync across devices or site addresses, and are not included in shared links, saved report copies or HTML/PDF exports. If browser storage is blocked, the checklist tells you that progress may only last for the current visit. Avoid entering sensitive personal information.

Lemoned estimates annual tax for supported vehicles from the available vehicle details and published rates. The result can be an amount, a range or unavailable. This is an estimate for one annual payment at 2026/27 rates, not a DVLA quote. Vehicle tax class, exemptions and instalment charges can change the amount. On phones, the timeline starts with the latest test day, including any retests. Choose “Show older MOT tests” to expand it. Wider layouts initially show the latest three years; “Show 3 more years” reveals older records in batches. We can only display records returned by DVSA, so an absent test does not by itself prove that a required MOT was missed.

No. It means recorded mileage moved backwards. Recording errors, unit differences or an instrument change may need investigation. Compare the readings with invoices and service records; the graph is not proof of tampering or a guarantee of genuine mileage.

They group MOT mentions by theme and count the distinct tests containing them. Open a theme to see the dates, results and recorded descriptions. Duplicate descriptions within the same test are counted once; a description can belong to more than one theme. These are historical prompts for further checks, not a diagnosis of current faults. A later pass does not prove how a repair was carried out.

No. A later first-DVLA-registration date or an MOT history that starts later may be worth investigating, but neither confirms an import. Gaps can have other explanations. Ask for earlier registration and service records.

No. The free report shows other registrations only when they appear in the returned MOT records. It is not a complete plate history and does not include keeper history. The latest V5C issue date is not proof of an ownership change.

It shows DVSA’s recall indicator when one is returned. An unavailable indicator does not mean there are no recalls, and the report does not supply repair confirmation. Check outstanding recalls with the manufacturer.

A source may not hold a field, may return no matching vehicle, or may be temporarily unavailable. Those outcomes are labelled separately. If one source responds, we may show a partial report; if no usable record is available, we ask you to try again instead of substituting a sample vehicle.

No. The free report presents recorded facts and findings without an overall score. The score shown in the full-report demo uses fictional records and a method still being reviewed.

No. These checks, keeper history and a full provenance report are not currently available. Features described as coming soon are not completed checks. Any future paid coverage and price will be confirmed only after provider access and licensing are agreed.

Use the tools at the bottom of a real report. Save keeps a dated copy in this browser for up to 30 days; Compare opens Saved cars for comparing two or three copies. Export contains Download report for a branded standalone HTML file and Print / PDF for your browser’s print options. Both include all returned MOT tests, even those not expanded on screen. A live result link lasts seven days from creation and may show updated information when reopened; sharing it does not share a frozen copy or extend its expiry. Anyone with a working link can open it. Email delivery and account recovery are not available. Saved copies do not sync across devices.

When a usable MOT due date is available, Export includes MOT calendar reminder. It downloads a calendar file with a two-week reminder request. Import it into your calendar and check its notification settings; Lemoned does not send reminder emails or push notifications. Confirm the current due date before relying on a saved reminder.

The box shows up to three registrations searched in the last 30 days. They are stored in this browser; expired entries are removed when the field is next used. Use “Clear history” to remove them sooner. Separately, Save keeps up to three report copies for 30 days in this browser; remove these from Saved cars. Lemoned’s server stores a private short-link mapping with an encrypted lookup identifier and expiry, but no full report or email address in that mapping. Providers process the lookup, and technical logs or browser history may remain. See the privacy notice for sharing, copies and deletion.

No. It only describes the records and checks available at that time. It cannot establish the car’s present condition or replace inspecting it, checking its documents, taking a test drive and considering an independent inspection.
